With grandparents again in place next door, caregiving for the elderly was something that started early for Wendy as she was growing up in Venice, FL. She graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2001 and worked for the YMCA in the Marketing department for almost 10 years before moving to back to Venice, Fl. Wendy worked for a Skilled Home Health Agency for 8 years until opening Home Care Assistance of Sarasota-Manatee in 2014. “Our mission is to change the way the world ages, and our Balanced Care Method focuses on quality of life by emphasizing healthy nutrition, physical exercise, mental stimulation, and a serene life with purpose.” “we listen to our seniors’ stories and become their family especially when they don’t have family here.”

John Cook, LPN - Employee Care Manager

John Cook, LPN – Employee Care Manager

John is originally from Holliday, Texas, but has resided in Sarasota since 2011.  His wife of 3 years is an elementary school teacher at Brentwood Elementary.  John studied Political Science at Texas Tech University and is currently pursuing a Health Services Administration degree from the State College of Florida. John is a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving 6 years active duty and 6 years in the Army Reserves.  John started his career as a combat medic and was promoted to Sergeant.  In 2005, The Army selected him for their Practical Nurse Course where he earned his nursing license.  Since moving to Sarasota, John has previously work as Director of Nursing and Administrator in the assisted living industry. John joined Home Care Assistance in 2017 as The Employee Care Manager.

Valorie Tremarco, Client Care Manager

Valorie Tremarco – Client Care Manager

Valorie grew up in Lake Whales Florida and relocated to Tampa for college. Valorie graduated from The University of South Florida with a bachelor’s in psychology in 2010.
Valorie worked at Blake hospital when she graduated and from there worked at a local Assisted Living Facility. Valorie was responsible for handling the residents and their needs and made sure that each resistant was happy to be at the ALF. Valorie joined Home Care Assistance in January of 2018 as one of our Client Care Managers.
